Mr. Onochie began his academic career at the then Anambra State College of Education, Nsugbe (now Nwafor Orizu College of Education), where he obtained the National Certificate in Education (NCE). Recognizing his passion for law, he proceeded to Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree.
Upon completion of his legal studies, he attended the Nigerian Law School, Bwari, where he completed his professional training. He was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, marking the beginning of his career in legal practice.
